Allie Fair Keel, CSC, MHC-LP
As a Mental Health Counselor, Certified School Counselor, and Independent Educational Consultant, Allie Fair is honored to build strong therapeutic relationships with children, teens, young adults, families, couples, and adults. Allie Fair believes deeply that counseling in all its forms can provide clarity and mindfulness in life, promote constructive expression and discourse, and foster healing from stress, trauma, emotional pain, and conflict. Allie Fair creates space for mental health awareness and care, working with each person or family in a holistic and culturally-centered way to foster healing and growth through self-knowledge, somatic connection, and cultivation of emotional intelligence.
Through her work as a school counselor, Allie Fair has gained deep experience supporting young people and families though developmental and educational transitions and challenges while encouraging developmentally appropriate growth and emotional skill-building. Incorporating this into her practice as a mental health counselor, Allie Fair takes a collaborative, values- and strengths-based approach, honoring each client as expert in their own lives while recognizing the societal, cultural, and circumstantial forces that impact an individual’s life. She works collaboratively with clients to develop a holistic understanding of themselves and their environment while cultivating mind-body connection and expanding healthy coping strategies to directly address the issues and intentions that brought them to counseling.
Allie Fair is also an educator, visual artist, and designer. She earned her Masters of Science in Education in School Counseling from City University of New York Hunter College and her Advanced Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from University at Buffalo. She is deeply committed to life-long learning and personal and professional growth and has received training in suicide prevention, mental health support for children and families, college access and equity, restorative practices implementation, mediation, racial justice and literacy for mental health professionals, dating and relationship violence prevention, and is embarking on additional training in perinatal mental health.
Allie Fair also offers holistic college preparation and school counseling services as an Educational Consultant.
