Yehoshua (Shia) Forman, LMSW
People call me Shia.
I deeply care about every person I work with, and I think you'll feel that right away. My approach to therapy is collaborative, and my goal is to support your growth—mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
At the heart of my practice is a deep commitment to authenticity, trust, and being of service. I show up fully present in each session, creating a space where you can feel safe, seen, and heard. My approach is always tailored to the individual—I draw from meditation, Internal Family Systems, and affirmations to help align your mind, body, and spirit with the Divine essence we all carry within us. True transformation starts with tuning into your Self, cultivating love and curiosity rather than letting fear take the reins.
I bring an eclectic energy to my work, creating a space where people from all walks of life feel welcomed. I’ve lived all over the country—from the mountains of Montana, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work, to the heart of the city, where I completed my Master’s at Touro University. Along the way, I’ve explored various spiritual traditions, all of which inform my approach to healing.
Outside of therapy, you’ll find me immersed in movement and creativity—practicing Muay Thai, backpacking, painting, dancing, cooking, playing sports, or writing music. But above all, my deepest calling is to serve others. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey.
