Molly Doherty-Vinicor, LCSW
Molly is a dedicated licensed clinical social worker committed to guiding individuals on their journey toward healing. In her therapeutic practice, Molly believes that meaningful therapy should be based on a collaboration between client and therapist with the intention of helping one discover their most authentic self through exploration of inner resources and innate wisdom. Her philosophy centers on moving beyond limiting behavioral and interpersonal patterns, fostering self-compassion along the way.
With a strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach, Molly specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Her focus lies particularly on developmental trauma, anxiety, and depression. Molly draws from a diverse range of evidence-based modalities, including Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodrama, and Mindfulness.
Currently pursuing certification in Somatic Experiencing, Molly is deeply committed to providing impactful trauma healing. She earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Albany and holds certifications in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Youth Mental Health First Aid, and is a NYS EBTDC MAP Certified Clinician.
