But a wandering mind is an unhappy mind. The more we drift our attention to things other than the present moment, the more discontent, stressed and disconnected we are. Chronic stress, anxiety, ADHD and depression continue to rise at epidemic levels at the same time our lives are busier and more out of touch with reality. There is a connection. 

Present awareness, or Mindfulness, is an antidote to this fast-paced world. With practice, clients can gain the indisputable benefits of mindfulness to support emotional and mental well being.

Creative expression and art therapy will look different depending on the needs of the individual. We walk with each individual, gently listening and allowing them to guide us in helping with exercises and mediums that suit their unique needs. Through the creative process we maintain fluidity in our approach as a client’s needs and goals shift. We use various methods and materials in sessions to create an experience that suits each client best.

Yoga & Movement

Our minds and bodies are connected. What happens in our minds, our bodies feel and what our bodies feel, our minds respond. Yoga and somatic therapy combine talk therapy with physical movement to bring about healing and awareness from both mental and physical concerns. 

Yoga and Somatic Therapy have been proven to be very effective in helping process and release trauma, mitigate symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress and is a thoroughly research-supported treatment for pain management, disease management and injury prevention and recovery. Yoga and Somatic Therapy can help clients process and release negative and blocked traumas and emotions stored in the body. Through breathing and individualized physical movement, clients are guided to shift their mindset while allowing the body to feel more safe, calm and ready to let go.

Music Therapy

Music Therapy is a clinical and evidence-based method that utilizes music experiences and the therapeutic relationship to meet the individualized goals of the participants. This process uses individualized music experiences to meet the client where they are musically, emotionally, cognitively and interpersonally in order to help the client making meaningful change and address their therapeutic goals.
